HG Landscapes is celebrating 15 years of business in 2025!! We are delighted to have such a hard working and dedicated team of staff members and we owe all of our success to them and their hard work. Landscaping is not the easiest profession, it is both physically and mentally challenging. The team have to deliver the high standards we all work to day in, day out, come rain or shine, and they always, more often than not, do so with a smile on their face! Ask anyone and they will be ready to help you with whatever you need.
There are over 30 people involved in the day to day running of the business. We have 6 Hard landscaping teams and 3 Garden maintenance teams. We undertake gardens and garden projects of all shape and size. From a one hour Garden maintenance visit to some larger landscape projects that have taken over a year, we will always approach the task with the same principals of best practice and high standards. Our customers and the designers we regularly work with have come to rely on this. No matter what, we all strive to maintain the 'HG' standard.
HG Landscapes Ltd was founded in 2010 by Jeremy Howgrave-Graham. "I never dreamed it would come as far as it has. This is down to the teams hard work and dedication. They uphold the values that I believe are important. It is this mutual love and understanding of landscaping that continues to enable us to deliver work to the standards that we do."
Matt has been with HG Landscapes since 2018. Matt came to HGL from another prestigious London based company, so he had a great skill set from the off. However he has expanded his experience and knowledge on every project we have built together and has delivered some truly fantastic gardens. Matt is highly organised and has a great attention to detail. His skill set is expert level across the board. He specialises in landscape construction but can easily turn his hand to anything needed and is also great with tree planting and soft landscaping as well. He is an absolute super star!
Alan joined HGL in 2016 and has been at the company the longest. His loyalty and reliability are a true testament to his character and work ethic. Alan has lead a Garden Maintenance team for almost 10 years here and is a very integral part of the company. Alan attended Merrist Wood College on a 2 year course alongside working at the company and has a very broad knowledge of all aspects of soft landscaping. He can specify new plants as well as maintaining existing ones and we really enjoy seeing the results of all his hard work. He is very talented and dedicated to making the gardens he maintains look their absolute best.
Henry has been working at the company for over 6 years and is very much at the heart of the business. He will always deliver top quality work with a smile on his face. He has a fantastic attitude and is very patient with whoever he is working with. Henry is used to working closely with designers and clients to make sure we get the best possible results. He is one of our most experienced and skilled Foremen who has a very keen eye for detail and a very high skill level. He is able to carry out everything involved with any hard landscaping project and to deliver it to an exceptional standard.
At HG Landscapes we maintain several high quality gardens that need expert care and attention. Iliyan is extremely knowledgeable with all aspects of soft landscaping and garden maintenance. He is an expert at plant and turf care and he delivers incredible results. Iliyan works very closely with our clients and designers to make sure we are keeping gardens at their very best. His dedication and commitment to these high standards are unwavering and he is a corner stone of this side of the business. His passion and care are very apparent in all of the gardens he looks after.
Alex joined the company in 2019 and has become a very important and central figure in the hard landscaping side of the business. Alex is from France originally where he gained a lot of useful experience in both hard and soft landscaping. When he joined the company he quickly adapted what he already knew and built on this to then start taking the lead on large landscaping jobs in the last few years. He is now running high value projects and delivering them to the highest standards. Alex is very talented at what he does and he specialises in bringing the highest quality detail of a job out for all to see and enjoy.
Blake is from Australia, somewhere that is at the forefront of the landscape construction industry. He brought with him a lot of great experience and is now an invaluable member of the hard landscaping team. He has managed projects of all sizes including one that lasted over a year. He is very methodical in his approach and always ensures things are running on track. He is extremely knowledgeable and highly skilled and works with great care, resulting in a top quality finish every time. He is great with clients and designers alike and is very patient and careful to make sure things get done properly. He has a great attitude and is a pleasure to have on any project.
Matt joined the company over 2 years ago, he has extensive industry experience and has become an integral part of the management process. He is highly organised and practical and is an expert at managing several projects and other issues all at the same time. You have to be able to multitask at a really high level to be able to deliver the jobs we do on time and on budget and Matt is extremely dedicated to making this happen. He is very helpful to the clients and will do all he can to make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible. He also works really closely with the teams on site and in the office making sure everyone has what they need at all times.
Pete joined the company in 2018 and has brought great enthusiasm and energy to everything he does. He is very skilled at all areas of CAD design and can produce anything from technical drawings, detailed scale layout plans, planting plans and 3D renders. These are always super accurate and are of great assistance to our build teams and the clients and designers we work with. Pete also covers many other areas of the business. As well as producing fantastic designs he also conducts site surveys, attends site meetings and helps with the management of existing projects. He helps organise orders and manages the scheduling of all the projects running. He's a great asset and highly valued member of HGL.
With an extensive knowledge of the Landscape industry Matt has a lot of invaluable experience which he brings to all he does. He is very considered and careful in his approach. Working very closely with clients, designers and the on-site team, to make sure everything runs as it should at all times. He has quickly become a very effective and important team member. He also manages several new enquiries simultaneously, managing to accurately outline prospective new projects to ensure they are properly assessed and dealt with, so that all goes well when they proceed.
