This project in Teddington was a really interesting and unique challenge. The clients and the designer, Claire Mee, are thrilled with the results, as are we. It is certainly one of the most interesting projects we have worked on with some amazing features in terms of material choice and the design elements included. The site itself is also really unique, the garden backs on to a man-made water way which joins on to the river Thames. It’s a really bold garden design which does deliver a stunning result when enjoyed from the house, or looking back at the house from the Boat House at the end of the garden. The journey through the garden is so enjoyable leading you past wonderful features and plants, as the path winds through the boarders, down generous floating stone staircases that lead you to a very special destination indeed.

The garden includes a large bespoke crazy paving terrace by the house with large format 40mm thick York stone paving pieces which have been cut into large random shapes from a computer design. This creates a lovely effect and is a really unique and attractive paving solution. There are 2 large floating stone stair ways with a winding path in between which leads to the Boat house. There is a swing and 7 no. large boulders amongst the stunning planting arrangement. There is always something to look at and enjoy throughout the garden. The fences are also well considered and provide a beautiful neutral background although on closer inspection also have a lovely detail and appeal of their own.
